Company bio
NEG8 Carbon started as Trinity Green Energies in 2014 as a spin-out from carbon capture research conducted at Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin. Following investment in 2021, the team began to commercialise the technology. We changed our name to ‘NEG8 Carbon’ to reflect our dedication to capturing carbon to fight climate change. We are now based in Waterford, Ireland, where our labs and development centre is located. Here we developed Ireland’s first operational DAC system, and we have scaled our process for the deployment of full-scale commercial units.
